I cannot tell you the amount of times throughout the past 20 years that I started out diets, only to fall off the wagon 2 to 3 weeks down the line and pile all of the weight back on again! Then last May I’d another go, just this time on the terms of mine, gradually and without depriving myself of everything at once. The one thing I decided pretty early on, was making certain I had in the house a selection of snacks that would replace the biscuits, chocolates and cakes that I had got into the habit of grazing on. If you’re trying to lose weight, these’re my top 5 recommendations:
1. nuts and Raisins. Most weight loss diets don’t include these as they are pretty rich in calories, but eaten up in a tiny amount (a handful) they fill you set up until the following main food and do not be the source of the slump in energy that you can get an hour after taking in junk food.
2. Bananas. Very easy to grab on the run or on the way of yours into the office. They’re very filling and have a low GI, thus energy is released slowly instead of all in a single hit. Place a teaspoon of jam on the most notable (but hardly any butter) and also you will not feel very unhappy. Furthermore a good bet when you are craving carbohydrates and want a low-calorie alternative to biscuits and cakes.
